I work with long glass fiber reinforced thermoplastics and I am looking for a program that is capable of measuring automatically the length distribution of long fibers (from 10 microns to 1 cm) and also the length of the touching and crossing fibers. Is Vision PE capable of such analysis?

Vision PE has a function called "Tiling" that allows to stitch many binary images together and thus see and measure objects that cross more than one field. A motorized stage is mandatory for this application.

Concerning the crossing fibers, the software can identify crossing thin lines to a certain level but not at 100%. Some manual edit might be necessary at that point on fields where crossing occur.
