We are looking for a desktop microhardness tester, wich can measure the hardness of a brass material with thickness is about 20-70 micrometer.

Due to the very small thickness of the sample, you must use a Knoop indenter. Ratio of diagonal measurement is 1:32 versus 1:7 for Vickers. Consequently the indenter does not have to penetrate so much in the material in order to get a readable imprint.

Clemex can offer fully automatic system for this purpose or a Software kit that retrofit to any tester.
